Family farm and mansion are now for sale
The family farm and house that was once the home of a former royal family have now been sold.
In a sale for $3.5 million, the family home at 15-30 Navan Road in Goulburn, Queensland is for sale for a buyer from South Australia, according to the ABC.
The former royal home was built in 1883 and was home to the family for the past 40 years.
A sale is scheduled to be held on February 18 in the Brisbane suburb of Lygon, according a statement on the Queensland State Government’s website.
While the property was once a part of the family’s vast royal estate, it was only in 2017 that the property became a family home.
According to a statement by the Goulburys, the house has two rooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a full living room with a living room balcony.
“It is currently occupied by the Queen and Prince Charles and the family has been very involved with their work,” the statement said.
ABC News contacted the owner of the property, the Gourts, but they did not respond to a request for comment.
Goulburn is about 120 kilometres (75 miles) north of Brisbane, but a spokeswoman for the Queensland Government said they did have no information on the sale date.
As well as the house, the property includes the land the house was on.
