Family restaurant in Kentucky goes viral after sharing video of father who died in a car accident
KYLENE BROWN/Associated Press — Family restaurant in Lexington, Kentucky, has gone viral after a video of a father who was killed in a traffic accident was shared on Facebook.
The video was taken by family member Jason Brown who said he had been in the car with his wife, Tanya, when the accident happened on Saturday.
“I remember that they told me they were going to be in the hospital for a week,” he told ABC News’ “Good Morning America” in an interview that aired Monday.
“And that was the last thing I heard from my wife.
They didn’t tell me they weren’t going to make it.
I went and I saw her and she was in the backseat and she wasn’t breathing.
She was like, ‘Oh my God, she’s dead.'”
Brown said he was in a critical condition and in intensive care for the next 24 hours.
The Brown family says the incident happened on the way to a dinner party.
They say they want the driver who is behind the wheel to be held accountable for his actions and their own safety.
They also say the restaurant is holding the man responsible.ABC News’ Mary-Ann Hagedorn contributed to this report.
